Jeffrey Tam譚俊傑大律師

Jeffrey attended St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford for Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) on a scholarship after reading law at the City University of Hong Kong. He was one of the recipients of the Middle Temple Society Scholarship 2010 where he received two weeks intensive advocacy training in the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London.

Jeffrey has experience in a broad range of civil practice with an emphasis on land (adverse possession, building management and conveyancing, land disputes related to small house, family land disputes). He also developed a practice of companies and insolvency and probate dispute.

Jeffrey has also established a practice of public law. He has appeared for applicants in some judicial review and election petition cases up to the Court of Final Appeal. Also, he also appeared on behalf of one of the victims in the death inquest of the Manila Hostage Incident in 2011 and the Commission of Inquiry into Excessive Lead Found in Drinking Water in 2016.

For public service, Jeffrey is a member of the Chief Executive Election Committee 2012 and 2017 (Legal Sub-sector) and an adjudicator of the Obscene Articles Tribunal (2012-2018). He is also currently a member of the Hong Kong Bar Association Special Committee on Constitutional Affairs and Human Rights and Civic Education Committee. He is an alumni manager of his alma mater Po Leung Kuk Tang Yuk Tien College.
